Symon Chang to present: Using WS-SecurityPolicy for Web Service Security
See http://codecamp.pbwiki.com/UsingWS-SecurityPolicyforWebServicesSecurity2007 and http://siliconvalley-codecamp.com/Sessions.aspx?sortby=title&by=category&tag=158
As the WS-SecurityPolicy became OASIS standard, the WS-SecurityPolicy needs to be used to define all security requirements for Web Services. Developers don’t need to code these low level XML encryptions, signature functions for Web Services, instead they only need to define the security policy for the Web Services. It is important for developers to get a better understanding of WS-SecurityPolicy and how to use this new policy driven approach to fulfill security requirements.
What Symon Says?
People used to say: “Without Security and Trust, Web Services are Dead on Arrival.” and Symon says: “Without Security Policy, Web Services Security are Dead on Arrival.”
See http://webservices.sys-con.com/read/39946_f.htm comments on "Predictions, Predictions - Where Are Web Services Going?" by Symon in 2004.
